Re: Leonardo (Yeovil Westland) sightings 2023
Noted plotting only today was hex code 43C7EA. Presume this would be ZZ115 the last Norwegian? Would appreciate any confirmation of this as presume this would have been its first flight.
Re: Leonardo (Yeovil Westland) sightings 2023
Correct, it was first flight. I noted it parked up outside circa 1330. Landing a couple of of hours later was ZR285, still in primer.

Is ZZ287 (6203) correct, or is it ZR287?

Re: Leonardo (Yeovil Westland) sightings 2023
Outside at 1300
ZZ100? AW.101 All over primer with tiny UK roundel and flash on tail pylon. Flying late morning as ZZ100 (WHE06 / 43C7DB)
ZZ115 AW.101 R.Nor.AF (Fully colours, serial taped over) Flying, landed around 1330 (WHE02 / 43C7EA)
ZR288 AW.101 Polish Navy (Fully colours, serial taped over) Ground run at 1315
Some documents/references say ZZ100 is the first R.Nor.AF helicopter but why the UK roundel??

Re: Leonardo (Yeovil Westland) sightings 2023
ZZ115 departed again a few minutes ago as WHE02.
Another EH101 on the flightline, primer overall and no visible marks from my viewing point. Seems to be in identical config to the Norwegians but could be Polish or Norwegian I guess.

If it has a large radome under the forward fuselage, then it will be Polish. If not, it will be Norwegian and ZZ100.

Re: Leonardo (Yeovil Westland) sightings 2023
Hi All. I was in Totnes around 17.45 tonight 20th June. Low Merlin overflew us with a large dome underneath. I have picked up ZR288 on my base station, using callsign WHE21. Anyone know if this was the one? Thanks.

Re: Leonardo (Yeovil Westland) sightings 2023
WHE21 (with forward radome and Polish livery) was working Lyme Bay during most of the afternoon and at about 17:30 ish, it travelled to the east of Berry Head then back towards Torquay so I am reasonably sure that was the frame that you saw from Totnesbonkers109 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 7:30 pmHi All. Two AW101s on the line mid afternoon both in primer. I'm guessing they were ZZ100 and ZR285 but could anyone confirm

Noted on the flight line at around 13:00 today (Monday) were AW101s ZZ115 fully marked for Norway plus 2 fully marked Polish examples, ZR288 plus one other. Can someone help with the second Polish please.
