TAC Blaze 2023 - Carlisle Week 1

TAC Blaze 2023 commenced on Monday (15th) with the arrival of ten helicopters to Carlisle, with exercise flying beginning in earnest on Tuesday. Next week, the flying schedule should be Monday/Friday 0900-1600, while Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday is 1400-2359 approx. A fourth Chinook is also expected on Monday (22nd) to join the three at Carlisle. They are not expecting to fly on the Bank Holiday (29th) and the helicopters will be leaving on Friday 2nd June.

Thanks for sharing these, a nice selection of shots. I'm tempted to pay a visit, despite the 300+ mile drive. It also looks a lot busier at the airport than when I called in last August.

Looks like a worthwhile day of photography! I like the motion blur on the Apache photos.

Nice selection Keiron, particularly the Cougar night shot with the open cabin door. It's great to have these guys back at Carlisle/Spade again and judging by the other posts from here, they are attracting a lot of attention.
