God Save the King!

Post by Professor_M » Sat May 06, 2023 9:58 pm

I've spent a bit of time over the last few days at Stansted trying to catch some of the visitors for the Coronation, here are the results...

Thursday afternoon saw me catch the Qatari A340-300 A7-AAH & 747-8 A7-HHE, Niger 737-700BBJ 5U-GRN & Kuwaiti A340-500 9K-GBB...

Friday morning yielded the Brazilian VC-1A FAB2101, Turkmenistan 777-200LR EZ-A777, Indian 777-300ER K7067, Hellenic G-V 678 and Senegal ACJ320-200Neo 6V-SEN (the weather was temperamental, with lightning visible to the north west, but, thankfully, it always got better before any of the interesting movements)...

Saturday afternoon for departures was miserable and wet, with the Brunei 747-8 V8-BKH almost entirely obscured by the cloud as it passed my vantage point. Here's Bahraini RJ85 A9C-HWK, Kazak A320-200 UP-A2001, RAAF KC-30A A39-007 & JASDF 777-300ER 80-1111...

Does anyone have any advice on how to remove the fence-wire running through this one? This was the closest I got to a decent photo of the Japanese 777, with all the rest some lovely photos of raindrops.

Thanks for looking - I hope you've enjoyed looking at them. Constructive criticism welcomed.

What immediately springs to mind is to put a soft-edged mask around the wire and lighten it on a trial and error basis. May need retouching (cloning) at the edges. Let us know!

Well done with those.
I was there on Saturday.
Couldn’t see through my glasses as they were covered in rain.
Couldn’t see through my binoculars as they were full of rain.
So you did a good job!

Ferrari

I would use the clone stamp in photoshop, the results probably wouldn't be perfect, but it might improve it a bit.
It's a real shame when things like that ruin a shot.
Dave.
EDIT P.S. I'm happy to have a try for you if you'd like ?

I'll give that a go at some point, thankyou.

If you'd like the challenge of playing around with it, please, be my guest - I'd be interested to see what someone who has more than my primitive knowledge of photoshop can do to it.

Best I could do, hopefully someone with better photoshop skills will have a go too.
Dave.
