Czech Alca have self confirmed on their display list for this season.

https://www.air-shows.org.uk/2023/04/ai ... play-2023/
They were also confirmed by RIAT in last Thursday's update - it'll be good to see them again.

Latest Update - 13th April
Firstly this week, we're pleased that our loyal friends from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will return to RIAT! It wouldn't be the same without the Royal Jordanian Falcons performing in the flying display, so we look forward to seeing their Extra 330LX aircraft performing in the skies over RAF Fairford in July. In addition, we will also see their Hercules on static display alongside the traditional Jordanian exhibition marquee.

Launching our celebration of the Italian Air Force's centenary, we are pleased to confirm the participation a range of historic aircraft from Italy. The static display will including a significant number of historic aircraft, all adorned in Italian Air Force Markings and parked together in a special static display to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Italian Air Force. Today we have added 10 aircraft to the participation list, including the colourful P-166C and a trio of FIAT G.46 training aircraft. Check out the 'Confirmed Aircraft' page for full listings. We will be adding more aircraft, including some classic jets, in the coming weeks once we finalise their participation details.

We have continued various fruitful conversations with Air Arms across Europe for a range of interesting aircraft to attend for both flying and static displays at RIAT 2023, including familiar favourites and some new aircraft types which we hope to be able to announce in the coming weeks. However, sadly this week we heard from the Royal Navy, who have said due to operational tempo they are unable to provide any aircraft to participate at RIAT.

the Jordanian falcons are a given at RIAT, and I know they get some stick and are known as the "toilet break" act, but I personally like their routine.they are an incredibly skilful and precise act. well worth the watch if more people gave them chance.

looking forward to seeing the Italian static display area too so.....good update again

The Royal Navy not attending is a bit of a strange one?

Really poor effort, and to be honest some years the RAF have been outdone by other Countries.

Lets be honest the raf and royal navy cant be bothered. The raf send the bbmf and red arrows thats usually about it. Think back to the raf 100 everyone said what a half arsed effort that was.
It says it all when the official raf show at Cosford, is a museum ! Fast jets cant land there,so wheel out the museum aircraft.

And the F-35B (fly past), Typhoon, A-400M, Chinook...

We just don't have the assets, really. I would be very satisfied if we get the Apache display from the AAC again, though!

Nice update yesterday, some cool Italian stuff. :thumb: German AF, French Navy, Qatari AF, and Zambian AF flashing yellow - there's a big potential there for some crackers

But let’s face it, a RAF/RN asset was never going to be the star of the show anyways. I’d much rather take some fighters or tankers from countries like Qatar, Saudi, Australia, Canada maybe, than have rows of RAF stuff

RAF P-8 crew weren't too happy with being so far away from the RAF village which was at the opposite end of the showground. I remember talking to the Portuguese epsilon pilots who felt they were also a bit out of the way.

Can't please everyone though can you. It didn't help the P-8 being all the way down the end, but with the size that it was...

RAF Village was between Red and Yellow at the east? of the airfield last year. Was one of the first places I went coming off the Shuttlebus on Friday. So if you weren't coming off the Shuttle bus, yeah it was away in the corner. There was also an RAF section bang in the middle of blue with the trainers.

Yes....it could always be better but let's not forget the 'Covid' years with no static/ displays at all. We should be grateful for anything now.

Seems like everyone is avoiding this, but that's a superb addition. You know how goof the German specials are...can't wait.

Nothing is confirmed until RIAT confirm it, or technically until it touches down! For example the Heritage F-35 self confirmed for last year IIRC..
Also, all displays in Germany have used standard undecorated jets from what I've seen.

There's been no German typhoon displays yet so how can you say that? What exactly have you seen?
