Delighted to welcome the Catalina, Miss Pick Up, back to the air show on Sunday, 11 June. She's a firm favourite with everyone and we are looking forward to seeing her in what is her 80th year. Tickets for the air show are available at cosfordairshow.co.uk.

I really hope they've learnt from the backlash last year re limited flying aircraft. There was no excuse really when we have two big US bases with aircraft flying daily, dozens of civil warbirds and teams, and even contractors like HHA all in the UK. If the RAF wasn't willing to put assets on display, they still had lots of options available. Still baffled by the "display" from the F-35 too....

Yes there we go, phone up Mildenhall and Lakenheath and let them know which aircraft we will be requiring, then give HHA a bell and tell them not to worry about the post Shoreham CAA regulations, just send us a Hunter or two.

As underwhelming as the F-35 was, it was never down to do a 'display'. It was always just a flypast.

Had to double check this isn't the RIAT thread! Yes, do go on, what items could the USAF bases sent to display when they have no display aircraft?? Cosford doesn't have a static park much like RIAT where that has the pull to the USAF.

Last year they had 5 months to put together a show and managed international displays and 4 1/2 hour flying display. It was a good show, probably too many gaps though inbetween displays.

This year they have had a full 12 months to plan, so I have no doubt it will be back to a full 6 hour display.

The issue last year wasn't the flying, it was the lack of communication. We got numerous posts saying 'we are going to add to the display' etc in the last couple of weeks, but nothing really came from it. The whole Team Raven fiasco wasn't communicated with many not having a clue until they turned up that they were not there. Same for the A400. They only put out the fact the show would be shorter than normal a week or so before.

However, RAF last year had a lot of things in the display, so I don't see how they weren't willing to put assets on display. In the flying the RAF had

Red Arrows
Typhoon
BBMF
Tutor
Chinook
Falcons
F35
Sptfire/Typhoon pairs routine
2x Hawk T2

On the ground

C130 Herc
Puma
Tutor

The F35 was never advertised as a display and we knew it would have been a flypast and hover.

BAF solo display self confirmed for cosford, According to their website.

Daz
I believe the one on their website is outdated (2022), their latest schedule has been posted on their Instagram & Facebook page where the only UK appearance for the BAF Solo Display F16 is RIAT. So, unfortunately not :(
