Newark Air Museum Events 2023

Our event planning for 2023 is now well underway and the main events are listed in here http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/2023_Special-Events

This includes special weekends to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Vulcan XM594 being flown into Winthorpe and the 50th Anniversary of the museum being opened to the public.

We’ll try and keep regular event updates in this thread.

Further event dates, like more photo shoots will be added in due course!

Standalone Aeroboots shelved for the foreseeable future, but we've been able to justify (just) & retain two outdoor sales alongside other museum events. Thank you for your support!!

It was great to be inside mixed between the airframes which made for a great atmosphere.

Having said that... I'm very pleased we can still enjoy these great Aeroboot days albeit outside alongside the events on the day.

Very much appreciate the museums decision to allows these to take place.

Looking forward to attending in the New Year.

The undercover space in Hangar 2 has been reduced significantly since it hosted the last indoor sale; our most recent assessment indicated that we could host less than 20 spaces - as such it is not a viable option for sellers or buyers!

A second item has been added to the museum website in the lead up to the Vulcan 40th Anniversary event next month – this time it’s a brief overview from 1982.

A third item has been added to the museum website in relation to the Vulcan 40th Anniversary next month – this time it explains how things started to change in January 1983 for teh Vulcan acquisition.

We’re still responding to lots of emails about the cockpit access to XM594 during the Delivery 40th Anniversary event in February – sorry for the delays & this being oversubscribed!

We’ve received several emails about the booking forms for the Outdoor Aeroboot / Aerojumble sale in April; these will be sent out in mid-February after the Vulcan Delivery 40th Anniversary event – a typo on the Aeroboot website page has now been corrected!

Once we're able to get things sorted for the Aeroboot / Aerojumble I don't see any issue with you calling in as described to confirm you booking etc.

Crazy times at present, with a lot going on and not enough time to get things sorted!

Booking forms for the Outdoor Aeroboot/Aerojumble have now been emailed out to those people on our mailing list; spaces will be offered to sellers not on our mailing list after 04.03.23

This sale runs alongside our event to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the museum opening to the public in April & takes place on 15th & 16th April.
