Donna Nook site viewing information required

Post by Rhubarb » Wed Oct 05, 2022 7:50 pm

Been to Donna to see the seals but no idea where is the best viewing point. Is there anywhere you can park and view from your car. Could a local regular do an information page pledge. Please include toilet alternatives and best and nearest cafe and chip shop. Thanking you in anticipation.

Hi, you wouldn't see much from where you park as the sand dunes would be in the way. If you walk on top of the sand dunes or past the little hut/cabin where one of the range wardens sit in to the other side of the dunes you will see any activity from there. I however, walk to the right along the beach to near the front of the tower as you are closer to the targets from there (10-15min walk)
Any toilets, cafe and chippy are located in north somercotes, chip shop is almost opposite the junction where you turn to go down to the range. Im not local so cant recommended a certain chippy or cafe im afraid but hope this helps in some way.

Thanks
Martin
