This Saturday (8 Oct 22) the @patrsuisse is flying for the Duxford (GBR) Flying Finale | @vbs_ddps - @IWMDuxford

The WAVE is shut due to covid, so we should be fine this time round

They apparently instigated the layby closure etc last time

Nice, will have to try and get to see these.
So, are you saying it was the WAVE that instigated the layby closure at the 02 end mate?

It looked that way.

They had a meeting with local traffic management and then the next day there were cones everywhere and the layby was shut.

A few locals believe it was them, forcing people to only park at the wave.

Wouldn't be surprised one bit mate to be honest. They make the wave the only place to park when cobra warrior was on but then wouldn't let people park vans in there (they wouldn't mind people in vans going in to buy food by walking from the overflow, or even vans in the wave on a normal day), i have a Nissan nv200 7 seat small van (its actually no bigger than some cars) but I didn't even bother trying to get into the wave just parked at the overflow as i had read they were being funny about people in vans, good job i didn't go in as a smaller van was sent to where i was. It meant i had to walk further with my little boy along the A15 verge which i wouldn't have had to do on a normal day. I wont be going in there to buy anything in the future.
Rant over 😂
Any times for arrival known yet?

Thanks
Martin

IMHO I very much doubt if the Wave has anything to do with the Police putting out cones - but it would be good to hear from them . . . .

There's 'trouble at mill' at the wave for a number of things - check out some of the latest reviews on line.

The lady who runs the cafe claimed she was involved in getting the traffic management in place - but she was also telling people that I worked on BBMF - so I've never really took on board anything she says!

Anyway this is about the Swiss not the Wave..

Their website schedule shows an overflight of Duxford 1615-1715 today - Swiss time is 1hr ahead, so sometime between 1515 and 1615 or just after at a guess.

Worth noting the WAVE is currently closed due to sickness, so there is no access to the carpark - parking is best in the overspill.

I am at Duxford and heard on the scanner that Patrouille Suisse will be displaying this afternoon at 1520 for 30 minutes.
