Claudio, they are lovely and make a nice change from the usual aircraft.

I also like the images. Raptor9? ;) “usual aircraft “. There are boats aren’t they?

Ah! The English language…

Am I correct thinking that they were formerly traditional fishing boats?

Yeah, alright C.24 :D But as you well know, Claudio usually photographs aircraft, and very well. :) Certainly poor use of English by me!. Regards, John. :) And by you 'there are boats aren't they??' :S

Ciao C24. These boats were used for fishing, but also for the transport of gravel, salt and any other type of material that was once difficult to transport on the road. Each boat has a particular name. tnks

Greetings to you both..

The dark boat with the white gunwale is the same size and rig as the RN 32’ cutters that we raced, 3 up in Start bay, anything up to force five. An experience well remembered.

Tit for tat Raptor9, who’se counting?
Not to excuse my mistakes but predictive spelling comes to mind so I’ll try again

They are boats. No , definitely my error (again)
Back on thread, without a doubt fine photos of good looking working boats, get them out there racing and post them in action. ;)

Best wishes

A beautiful set of images Claudio. I wish I'd been aware of these during my numerous visits to Rimini, as I think they would be well worth the visit.

Just light heated banter. :) I don't take anything too seriously these days, and they are lovely pics. :) Rugby,? that's the violent game that Premiership footballers should play for 30 mins, then they might realise what a load of girls most of them are!!.

🇺🇦 🌻 🇺🇦

Absolutely.

A saying that was current in my youth was “big girls blouses” which was used to describe such people. I never fully understood why but it did seem appropriate.

Carry on!

Just realised that my post re 'girls' and rugby might sound offensive towards the opposite sex. I am well aware that girls play rugby. One of my nurses during my time in hospital played womens rugby. She was a lovely looker!. My youngest daughter plays Netball in a Senior League in Bristol, and boy, that's also a game the overpaid and non-pain resistance Premiership players would not like to be involved in. No offence intended at all to the ladies who play what used to be mens preserve in sport. More power to them!. Sadly, I cannot see Jamie Chadwick, despite her undoubted talent, making it into Formula 1, although 2 women have preceded her in the past. They are simply not strong enough for the current era of cars, more's the pity!.
