Tornados and typhoons at Waddington, 02.09.22

Hi guys,
a few pics from Thursday and Friday mornings at RAF Waddington, lovely and sunny on Thurs but typically rainy on the Friday for the Tornado flights!!!

It's funny you say that as I said to my youngest that it felt like the acmi days again, really enjoyed it even the rain couldnt dampen the spirits!

Ah, ACMI…those were the days 😊. I lived and worked in the area, and always felt lucky to have such an eclectic selection of regular visitors 😎

Yep, they were great exercises with a lovely mix of aircraft types and operators. I don't recall it being particularly difficult parking wise either, compared to when anything turns up nowadays. Maybe I'm just remembering with Rose coloured glasses?!!

You’re right about the ease of parking, and of course there was no WAVE.
I think security was slightly more relaxed back then, and the internet didn’t exist!
