Re: What builds are on your bench?
Ive finally taken the nimrod by the wings and decided to start my AEW3 conversion.
I will be doing it as either AEW.3 DB.1, XV286, RAF Waddington, 1980 or Nimrod AEW.3, XV263, RAF Waddington, 1985 I havnt quite decided yet. I have already removed the nose and tail in readiness for the resin conversion. The resin conversion also comes with a new tail and tail planes. I have got a few eduard sets for them (I have two rods to make) but on this one I will be only using the exterior set. The other one which will be a standard waddo rod will have the full works (I know you wont see the cockpit but its the part of building I enjoy the most).

Well into my 1/48 F15c (posted seat etc in WIP)
Enjoying it, just finished the engine thingy and going to paint today and then glue it in the hole at the back of the pointy grey bit. Getting to know all the technical jargon now
Merry christmas all

F-16CJ - If it is anything like the 32nd scale kit you're in for a treat!
Re: What builds are on your bench?
i have so many more kits to build but these are the ones that are in the cupboard taking up space, so looks like the f-16s a front runner
Re: What builds are on your bench?

Re: What builds are on your bench?
Mark, the "hawk-man" Maples.
I have a 48th one to do soon for the magazine, should be good!
I'm also torn between two modesl for the GB coming up.
1/32 Tornado - Will be a GR1, wrap around camo, flaps, slats, resin cockpit, photo etch; the works
or 1/32 F/A-18C Hornet - Desert Storm (unsure of the decals) but will have resin cockit, burner cans and wheel bays
not sure which but either will be pushing the 3 month time limit!

Re: What builds are on your bench?
I know it is the Italeri T1/a model, not sure what markings but I am tempted to do a two tone camoflague variant from the 80's
Also just bought the AirData book on the Hawk, Strike Eagle and Tornado yesterday so I am hoping they are going to be good references
