Nahh, it'll be fine, 5474 has had it's name removed just before some of the jets deployed on their short trip to Eastern Europe and not put back as of yet.TealRain wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 7:15 pmRighto!Starbuck wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 7:01 pmEach jet will get a pilots name in turn but I think the post refers to each jet getting a mythology name a bit like the other squadrons are known with tail numbers.TealRain wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 6:55 pmThese are the names I've seen and the dates recorded:

5476 used to have Maj Justin 'Spike' Lennon on the nose door - Spike is also a common flight callsign
5493 does now have a crew name written in gold whose callsign is 'Trick'

Re: 48FW F-35A delivery summary
Quick update with help from a crew chief friend, all should get Mythology names.
Sent me photos of 3 of them to get the list started, the names are on the inside of the left nose gear door so will need to be stood to the right of the aircraft.
5486 "Gunnr" Meaning War or Battle
5485 *Brynhildr" Meaning "Armor battle" or "bright battle"

I can only presume Reapers F-35s will be number only.

Can't see any new LN F35's that have flown at this time in the US. The last one I have seen mentioned/photographed is 22-5580, but that's going to Edwards AB.
Re: 48FW F-35A delivery summary (14 at 17/06/2022)
20-5578 is an ED coded jet for Edwards…

I'm sure I saw this photographed and showing as an ED-Edwards jet. I'll have to revisit where I saw it.
Oh dear, yes sorry it's 20-5578

Re: 48FW F-35A delivery summary (14 at 17/06/2022)
The one at RIAT was a 495 FS jet 4575 GÖLL,which for me was my first sighting of a Lakenheath F-35A in person so I was chuffed with that,it also appeared to have name of pilot on the side to ,LT Col James -my phone shots didn’t quite have enough quality for all of the name to be seen ,but one of the pilots present was definitely EVIL as spotted him on the Friday morning next to the jet talking to the visitors
That arrival was awesome to ,I didn’t see all of it as was having lunch at the airfield diner at the time

“Evil” was a very polite and friendly pilot, I even managed to get his special RIAT patch that he flew the jet in with!

The pilots name on the nose wheel cover of the RIAT static aircraft, 19-5475, was LT Col James "Holy" Schmidt.Skywatcher wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 8:08 pmThe one at RIAT was a 495 FS jet 4575 GÖLL,which for me was my first sighting of a Lakenheath F-35A in person so I was chuffed with that,it also appeared to have name of pilot on the side to ,LT Col James -my phone shots didn’t quite have enough quality for all of the name to be seen ,but one of the pilots present was definitely EVIL as spotted him on the Friday morning next to the jet talking to the visitors
