A complete guess but I suspect they'll be parked on the large apron directly in front of the B-2 hangar (unless its occupied by by other large aircraft on the day).chetwyn.keam wrote: ↑Tue May 31, 2022 3:22 pmDoes anyone know where the Reds will be parking at fairford and how long they are staying

Hi just found this it about the Red Arrows routing on the flypast on the 2nd, so there is a very good chance that the flypast will follow the same route. I think they got it from a notam like he did before with the full flypast. It confirms Fairford is there destination .So I am going the the London velodrome at Stratford and hope he right. It about 15 minutes walk from Stratford rail station

Re: Queens birthday Flypast
Sorry but need to bump this one.
I see the red arrows are taking off just before 12.30 so guessing the typhoons that same but what about the BBMF - slower so will that take off first ?Does anyone have an approx time to see the BBMF and the typhoons take off on Thursday please.
Re: Queens birthday Flypast
In the past BBMF have flown to Biggin earlier in the day and flown from there - unsure what their plan is this year. If they are landing Northolt that may suggest they depart from Coningsby
Re: Queens birthday Flypast
Going by previous QBFs and what was seen during the RAF100 dispersals, after passing Buckingham Palace the routes may be splitting as below
Rotary element should be bearing SW towards Richmond and taking the H3 out of London.
BBMF should be heading N towards Hendon and then back to Coningsby?
Main body of the flypast (Phenoms, Hercules, C-17, A400, Voyager, RC135) etc should be heading NW towards Northolt and beyond.
Fast jets (Main Hawk & Typhoon elements) along with the Red Arrows should head W towards Heathrow and beyond. Reds to land at Fairford.
Just some very educated guessing but no doubt the RAF will be publishing a lovely little map for us all to gawk at in the next 48 hours.

Looking at the below link, I am guessing the Lancaster may be coming in from Coningsby. Looks like flypasts in Suffolk and Felixstowe prior to the main flypast.

Re: Queens birthday Flypast
Thanks for the map. Looking at number 10 when the map is expanded, It shows another potential place for those of us in Essex is Fairlop Waters. The route looks like it’s going over the playing fields opposite FW, so there is parking, and it’s actually where I went to watch The F15,s when they did the NFL flyovers. Might not have the atmosphere of central London though.Sw wrote: ↑Tue May 31, 2022 5:50 pmhttps://www.military-airshows.co.uk/pre ... le2022.htm

Re: Queens birthday Flypast
Reds will be displaying at the Midlands air festival airshow this weekend just outside of stratford upon Avon. So hence why they are going into fairford a short flight away.
Maybe the display typhoon, also, bbmf have in the past used Coventry airport when doing this airshow.

Re: Queens birthday Flypast
I think Fairlop Station and the lakes have been a waypoint for many Trooping the Colour flypasts in the past. Hainault Country Park is another, although I haven’t been there in years. Used to live in Romford a long time ago.Philly1971 wrote: ↑Tue May 31, 2022 9:48 pmThanks for the map. I thought this was to discuss the flypast not where displays are taking place this weekend.Apologies if I am wrong.
