Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2022 - General Discussion Thread
I am still hoping for the Chinook and Apache displays.
From Italy I would expect the T-346A as its a trainer so fits with the theme hope they bring the C-27J Spartan and the Tornado display if they still do that? Or do they just have the Eurofighter displays now?
Not sure about Poland this year hopefully they do attend with the Mig-29 or the F-16 but I was reading that Poland are now doing QRA for Slovakia whilst they fade out their Mig-29s so they might be busy with that and the Ukraine situation being right on their doorstep.
As for the US participants hopefully the A-10 and F-35 do confirm for flying displays along with the Osprey and maybe chuck in a B-1, B-2 and B-52 flypast?
Not heard anything more about the Black Eagles would be great if they did attend though.
From looking at the list of Countries still in talks there could be many aircraft that could pop up from nowhere so I still expect a few surprises and star attractions to be announced in the coming weeks.

What people on here think is not going to influence what actually turns up either way. Only time will tell.

Great to see them with a RIAT listing, one of the best displays there is.

That's great, love freece.
Let see if they bring a second aircraft like a tornado, typhoon or their trainer jet, like the usually do

Understand the Good year Blimp is over here for a few months. Be great to see at fairford. Last time one attended Riat was 2000 or 2001 at Cottesmore.

It's been mentioned many a times within the thread if you look back, only a self confirmation however. Ah, the usual A-10 yearly rumour is back again then...SpilsbyPete wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 3:41 pmSurprised nobody has mentioned the A-10
