Good opportunity for the RAF to finally show off some P-8 Poseidons over London now that they’ve all been delivered. Dare I suggest a diamond 9 of them? XD

With all the problems in Eastern Europe right now perhaps the (now much smaller RAF) have other tasks on their mind?
If so it will be a sad day for all if the correct respect is not shown to Her Majesty. As intimated above, she may not be with us for much longer.

I don't remember the 2019 flypast or the practice over Marham
Anyone got ant details on the 2019 event
Like most people I am expecting the practice to be over Cranwell
The Hawk T2's is a nice start
The practice was over Marham on 3rd June 2019, I was there.

Only some of the elements flew the practice that day but was supposed to be more but some didn't show up and those were E-3D, Rivet Joint & F-35s but none ever took off that day, I don't remember or have any notes of anything from Brize that was supposed to practice either.

What I captured was
Shadow R1
BAe 146 in White
Sentinel R1
Voyager
4 x Coningsby Typhoons in Diamond formation.

Pretty sure Her Majesty is well aware what the RAF are actually there to do and ceremonial flypasts are pretty far down the list.

Agreed. Personally, I hate the term raf. It is either the R.A.F. or the Royal Air Force. We have an ex-Canberra navigator as a friend, and his wife ALWAYS refers to it as The Royal Air Force, and nothing but that will do for her!.[Quite right}!.

You lot does make I larf at tymes (Grammar Police insert).
Moreover, as someone who spent almost 40 yrs in the Royal Air Farce (sic), the diminished level of understanding in asset and resource management, along with Operations and serviceability rates etc, leaves me both amused and bemused at times.
Critically observing Pension regulatory activity... :D

Thanks; that's two unique formations and is quite representative of the RAF in 2022. A '70' wil be one, but have no idea for the other. Worth the trip to London to see it first hand though.

Is the flypast likely to be over Windsor like the 60th was or Buckingham Palace?

I understand that but the 60th anniversary flypast was over Windsor so thought the 70th might be aswell?

Although last year's Trooping of the Colour was at Windsor but only due to lockdown so presumably will return to the tradition of Horseguards.

Location could depend on the wellbeing and mobility of HMQ.

No Phenoms either, but they do have historical form for flying in close (very close!) proximity to others.

For those wanting photos, previous experience suggests standing on the wobbly bridge.
