We had hoped to be taking images of the Kingfisher all day but sadly the beginning of the week the KF disappeared,we don`t know if it was predated or has gone looking for a partner,so off to the Sparrowhawk hide it was.
I`ve used this hide before and it never fails to produce some quality opportunities, but just when you think you can`t get many different images you do!

2/Giving someone a piece of its mind probably the pigeons which were distracting everyone!

3/cruising

Then onto the Otter hide,I couldn`t believe what I was seeing at this hide, some floodlighting just to make the Otters visible to the camera and for me a first using flash on wildlife, something I have never done or wanted to do in the past, but having been told the Otters pay no attention to the flash
and that it doesn`t distract them I decided I`d have a look.
Well sitting in a hide with an otter at eye level with you just 10ft away was quite an experience, even more so when 3 of them were stood there! More to the point we watched the 1st appearance of them,as they came in grab a bite and left, something we were told they often do,and happily from that point on
there was no difference in how they reacted to the flash as when we sat watching.
