Just a thought, for the Frisian flag at Leeuwarden, starting Monday the 28th (if not cancelled), they expect 12 AV F16's.
So perhaps they re-locate to Leeuwarden in the week of the 21th/25th of March, rather then returning to Aviano.

In case anyone doesn't fancy the A1065 walk, most of these can be seen from Maids Cross Hill. The order is as above when viewed from there i.e. left to right. I didn't try too hard to see if the final 3 (046, 443, 800) came into view as you move left across the hill as I didn't need them. Hope it helps someone.

Rod i went up on maids cross hill yesterday and couldn't see any of them from up there just what looked like F15,s in the distance through a haze is there a particular spot to go to ?..cheers

Last weekend I managed to read off 11 tails from the Warren. 500mm lens and a not so steady hand.

I was standing on the edge of the big hole in various high spots looking across the airfield to the left of the control tower near the new building work. The 3 I couldn’t see were I believe behind the new construction.

Hope that makes sense.

The only patch I've seen linked to the exercise is the RAF style



Which is extremely limited by all accounts, although people have bought it from the spotters carpark. not my patch by the way kindly borrowed from the Lakenheath & Mildenhall Military Memorabilia page

Hi everyone

As the Ex Frisian Flag isn't Starting untill the 28th of March... is it safe to assume that the AV F16s will still be at Lakenheath next week... I'm thinking of coming down on Monday 21st.

Any help would be very much appreciated... its a 300 mile round trip for me so your help would be very valuable and appreciated.

Frisian flag is on ,polish have pulled out and replaced by Italian EF2000 and Tornados ,
Frisian flag page says AV jets finish at Ln on 24th.
Not sure how true.
