Tejas almost certainly to Waddington - if not why have they put all the traffic regulations in? Surely not for some German Ef-2000 and Italian Typhoons....

This whole willy waving of "I know and you don't" nonsense is quite tiring - happens every time time when a big exercise is on the horizon

Couldn't agree more, it's quite pathetic.
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Agreed, if you have some information then please share as others do, if you are not in a position to share then don't but there's no need to tell us you know something and we don't, it's just pointless communication.

Can someone confirm the dates.
Scramble has 7th till 25th.
But the traffic restrictions at Waddington are until 22nd.
I don't now anymore than I've pieced together from here or Faceache....But this is my take, if others can correct/ update that would be helpful:

Road restrictions are in place from the 7th to the 22nd March. There's a NOTAM copied below from the 14-18 March with specific activity days on the 14, 16 and 18th March. Based on these 2 and as the 2019 Cobra Warrior had road closures the week the visiting aircraft arrived with the exercise the following weeks it could be the case that 7-11th March will be buildup and arrivals with the exercise being 14-18th. Then 21st and 22nd for visiting aircraft to depart aircraft. From memory previous Cobra Warrior's have seen the main exercise activity on alternates days (Mon, Wed, and Fri).

That NOTAM covers activity at Spadeadam. It doesn’t cover everything for the exercise, a lot of which will no doubt use the airspace over the North Sea and other areas.

That’s correct Mark.

My memory wants to say there was a Notam for the whole 3weeks with the specific days mention led.

Maybe I’m thinking of another exercise.

Too late now as i have booked a travelodge.
Looking forward to some train spotting non Lincoln station if all else fails!

Yes the exercise usually runs every other day with them doing what they wanted on non exercise days as I remember the 4 German Tornados that gave me 2 low level flypasts over my quiet valley town on a non exercise day!! 😊😊😊

In 2019 the Germans were most active, flying evening slots on exercise days plus a could of waves on non days.

There's still no traffic regulation signs around Waddington, for 2019 they were up well before this, with stuff rumoured to arrive from Monday next week it's cutting it fine.

Thanks for posting Luke.

Hopefully Waddington gets a bit more than the 5 Tejas, can't see the traffic regulations only being brought in for 5 jets - unless they expect to draw people in their 1000s?

Someone did say German and Italian Typhoons were also heading to Waddo but not seen anything to suggest this is true.

Is it expected that the Indian support (like mentioned C-130) will stay there during the exercise, or will they return home?

Ideally you want the support to go home and come back in different aircraft at the end of the exercise.

Did I hear that one of the Indian Hercs may go to Cambridge for maintenance at the beginning of March with the other acting as a crew bus?
