Just a thread to be used for general discussion/ question asking.

What are the chances a sortie is flown tomorrow?

Excellent - thanks!

Sometimes tricky to find the BTF reference, and not all of them are known - www.raf-fairford.co.uk/btf-europe

It's not, because it's a pointless question to which there is no answer, certainly on this forum anyway. The USAF, DOD and MOD will know but as with all of these deployments, it isn't made public. When they have departed for home, we can then work out how long the deployment was.

It is.

They usually last a couple of weeks. Take a look at the previous deployment threads to get a feel for their length and tempo.

More like 3 to 4 weeks, not just two they have never been for just two weeks.

TBH the length of the Deployment for the BTF Exercise is planned well in advance & known to those who need to know! The likes of the Daily Fail are using words like "thinly disguised.....Ukraine situation & the laughable..... RAF Fairhead"! for this deployment . But there remains the possibility that 'normal length & tempo' could not apply to this situation? The enthusiast in me says..." Yay!" but the realist says "avoid any escalation & irritation". On that last point maybe the UK. shouldn't send Envoys to Pres' Pukin when a personal use crate of Canesten would serve the purpose!...just sayin' ;) :halo:

Hi everyone

Just wanted to say thanks to you guys for your comments and oppions.

When I posted the request... I did consider the fact that I might not get an exact answer for the length of the deployment for obvious reasons.

But your suggestions and oppoions on what may be the possible length for the deployment have helped me to plan a possible trip down to see these.

Looking forward to all the coverage in the coming weeks.. great reading and following the posts yesterday... keep up the great work guys.

Many thanks again... much appreciated :thumb:

Link below takes you to the runway 25 shop which is selling the patch for this deployment.
https://runway25.com/product/b-52-lance ... pvc-patch/

Patch features two B52's flying over the St Mary's church in fairford village. The sky features 13 stars the same number on the North Dakota flag.

I believe aircrew have been seen wearing the patches on the runway 25 shop but I would imagine some other patches will be worn similar to when the B-1's deployed in October.

The Runway25 patch although very nicely done is not the official patch for the deployment, the 69th have their own they are wearing whilst here.
