Harriers Final goodbye happenings (updated)

Okay - latest plan in a very fluid situation is thus:

Tomorrow - no flying from Cottesmore, 8-ship from Wittering @ 1330;

Thursday - Harriers depart Wittering for Cottesmore @ 1300ish but only if Cotty runway is serviceable (needs to be warmer than -5C)

Friday - Dress rehearsal for 16-ship from Cottesmore.

Monday - Sorties in the morning, special tails sortie in afternoon for piccies. No low-level though.

Tuesday - NO FLYING

Weds - The big day, weather permitting.

Will probably change by tomorrow evening...

Thank you for posting the weather at Cotts, let us hope the snow is light and the temps Rise abit.

We had glorious sunshine all day yesterday, thou the temps never went above -3 here on the M69 area.

Six on the pan yesterday lunchtime and one in the hangar.

Had heard of some 1 Sqn thing on Thursday, flying the figure '1' formation, but looks like not happening.

the navy boys have been clearing the snow and ice from outside there hangar and looks like they have been trying to clear up to the flight line so may get some flying this week.
