N16-918 now unbagged
Re: Australian Seakings in the UK
In Horsham today, still four ex RAN Sea Kings unwrapped. Did not confirm which ones. The other two still completely covered.

Hi folk
Dropped by Horsham today and saw 6 Seakings outside, two bagged (furthest away from main gate) and four in grey. Codes read on noses were?
(9)10 / N16-125
(9)20 / N16-238
(9)21 / N16-239
and maybe 22 / N16-918?? but last records also show (9)05 / N16-114
Confirmation would be most welcome ...

Re: Australian Seakings in the UK
Reports from else where saying that they are all now unwrapped.

This is not correct.eagle driver wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2019 10:13 amReports from else where saying that they are all now unwrapped.
The one in the SW corner was still totally wrapped this morning. This is the ex RN spares HAS6 frame. So, just the 5 ex-RAN flyers are now unwrapped.
Re: Australian Seakings in the UK
Situation stable, XV674 still bagged, the other five unwrapped and in the same positions....

I was in Horsham yesterday and all six former Australian Sea Kings are in the yard. The wrapping is gradually dropping off them all.

Re: Australian Seakings in the UK
Dropped by Horsham today for a long overdue look - thanks for the above information.
For me , all of the Seakings are visible and 'counterable' , the Aussie Seaking in the corner on the back row isn't ideal but you can see it.
On the front row (XV674) appears to be coded 11 on the nose and is largely covered in a 'DM' style white spray light substance but again you can see it.
I reckon Sunday is the best day to visit as you can walk across the road to the raised Honeywell carpark and view over the fence. I have got some photos that I might post later when I get home.

Curious picture up top of XZ578 and the theories about her origin/destination. I now own her and she's in Slovakia????

Are the RAN Sea Kings still at the yard?
Might have quick look next week.
