Hi all, apologies if this has been asked on one of the many threads but wonder if somebody can help me? I'm not going to be able to visit during the week but I am contemplating a visit to see the B1B's on the ground at the weekend... I haven't visited Fairford for spotting and only for RIAT... where would be a sensible place to park and walk to, to see the bombers parked up? Thanks!

Hi Typhoon96. Just got back in from RAF Fairford, yep all 4 B1's are still there and haven't turn a 'Wheel' in the Heavy rain...

I went down on a sunday, best to see them from Dunfield lane and the marston meysey crash gate. I was advised by a kind member in an earlier post. To go past runway 27 turn right at the t junction and dunfield lane is on your right at the bend. He careful for oncoming traffic.
Also under the spotters area click on raf fairford and you will have access to a map.

Doing the hard work for you, Dyess is in Texas and KPSM decodes as Pease which is in New Hampshire - getting on for 2,000 miles apart. So no not close by.

Has anybody noticed much activity around the planes lately, particularly today,or heard any rumours about flying eg from PCB?Any sort of clue might be useful so I could possibly pay a fifth visit, all of the previous 250mile/5 hour round trips having been unuccessful in seeing any Bones flying. Many thanks for any snippets of info.

The RAF has put out their press release from the North Sea mission this week. https://www.raf.mod.uk/news/articles/ra ... ce-season/
Quotes from the article:
"RAF Fighter jets and air-to-air refuelling aircraft have taken part in a mass air exercise with United States Air Force Europe, bringing an end to the Bomber Task Force season."
"Exercise POINT BLANK brought a successful close to the UK’s participation in this year’s series of United States Bomber Task Force deployments"
