First F-35 for Lakenheath Identfied?

There is another picture doing the rounds which shows 18-505/LN but there is no confirmation yet on whether it is photoshopped serial given there is no 18-505 known.

Seems the identity, well C/N of one of the first F-35s destined for Lakenheath is now known - AF-302

18-5505 is a known F-35A serial, it went to Norway.

Ahh, OK. Close though. There would not be another 5505 though as the F-35 batches do follow each other (so far) with no duplicates.

Would any of the LN F35s be FY18? Is this determined by when the order was placed please?

Yes, that is generally correct, although sometimes left over funds can be re-allocated to other years resulting on some strange FYs (look at C-130Js as an example)

Why? I'm surprised you haven't seen a screen shot of it already.

For you and the wider communities information, the image has been screen shot from my FB site. I know this because I am the originator.

Quite frankly, it is clear that the serial is out of sequence. I am surprised that sheer volume of 'experts' on this forum had not figured this out in the first instance.

I am not prepared to share this image as it was intended for private viewing. However, I have no doubt someone, somewhere will share this with you in the near future.
