56 Sqn Photocall - Wattisham 4 July '92

Post by F3 » Sun Oct 03, 2021 8:34 pm

While sorting through my collection of Toom pics for a forthcoming mag article I came across a set of negs from the above photocall, which was undoubtedly one of the best ever held. As I was visiting family stationed there that w/end I was taken to the preview arranged for station personnel on the previous evening so missed seeing the vast line up of Tooms which were towed out of the HASes the next day. We had some great photocalls back then. The TFM one held @ Waddo and the Canberra Anniversary one @ Wyton are another two which will never be bettered.

Thanks for sharing: that was an excellent day out, I remember that the afternoon was interrupted by a very sudden and spectacular rain storm?

Great shots and I agree with your comments on the photocalls of long ago.
