I'm sorry but this a bit confusing :S There has been many suggestions as to the topics but no final decision on any?

Shaun(Viper3111), may I suggest that you take all the suggestions made and with a good mix up make a calender as to when they run. That way people can look forward and better plan their entries. Just a suggestion, as it worked when I did the ones over on UKAR  .

I think sometimes comments on here can be mis construded and read the wrong way, so please do not take anything personally. Shaun (Viper) you are doing a great job; I think what Shaun (Thunder) was trying to say can we have a more clarity (possibly more sub folders instead of everything being under the "Group Build" umbrella?

If 7 or 8 asked for the Harrier GB maybe there should be at least 8 entries for that. I know at the moment I am working hard on finishing my A-10 off which hopefully should be ready in a few weeks. I hopefully should be able to throw my ring in the hat for the Harrier GB but until that point I really do not want to commit.

Cheers James, I can only have so many sub forums and it all has to be passed by the team. I would love separate subforums and do things as you suggest but I can only work with what Ive got.

Was just a suggestion. I know you are constrained with so many sub forums in this small section of FC... Just a thought, I know it is more work but could.would an "FC Model" Mail out e-mail/PM on here be any use to anyone? It does not have to be huge, could be a monthly thing be any use? In that we could cover any news, group builds, shameless promotion (NAM,WAVE etc)? We could even do builds of the month? I know this is extra work for you and Jamie but I am more than happy to assist (if it is once a month and I we could alternate between nominated people - naturally this would have to be approved by you prior to mail out). Perhaps if this was the case and was sucessful, it could be a wider mail shot?

I just feel that this section is dramitcally growing and over the last few months it probably have doubled in size. Thunder (Shaun) does have a point that although the information is there, perhaps sometimes it is not clear where it is (I think I only know as I get notifcation e-mails on the topics I reply on). I just think having a news letter will not only assist contributing members on here but hopefully inspire others within FC to come and join us.

Like I said, happy to help you if you wish?

This is one bit I don't understand, if everyone or some have made a suggestion then why are we voting on it? What happens to those subjects that don't get voted for, do they get a second, third or even a fourth chance? This way some people's suggestions may never come to fruition and to me that is wrong, as everyone was asked what they would like and therefore those that took the time to reply should get their glory as to speak, for those that didn't reply they have no argument as everyone had the chance.

Prizes?? What prizes, I didn't realise the Group Builds had descended into a competition format. must've missed that one as well :O

Shaun, in no why I'm I criticising the work that you do and I'm sure that I speak for most when I say that what you have done within this section is pretty impressive to say the least:clap: , but there is just too much going on within the section that it is impossible to keep track of things. In my opinion and experience it is best to keep things simple. This post will no doubt be taken the wrong way by some, but that's all I have to say on the matter.

I may take part in the GB, but it depends on time and my own building wish list.

I thought it best to vote on subjects as that was a fair way of choosing, otherwise some people may think there idea is being over looked. If there is a fairer way of choosing a subject then Im all ears.

I think it best to call it a day on group builds as it is obviously not working. I will look into doing it again at a later date.

Yes, all current group builds are closing

Please finish your builds (if you want to) and post them in the gallery. I will change the rest to WIP's

This is a real shame. There was no problem :S
I have a Valkyrie coming which I bought for the prototypes in service build. The Harriers won, it wont stop me building the kit.
The Group builds were ( I think ) just for inspiration and a fun thing for us to do together.

Viper3111 and now Flyingmonster are doing a fantastic job of making this part of the forum work. I am happy to go along with any decisions they make. It is not like they do not ask us for our opinions.

As for the section being to busy, I can not agree. I see all new posts, though this I admit may be because I sometimes have nothing better to do than go through the whole forum

Lets not let this get out of hand :thumb:

Regards

Ben
