A400's

Post by STN RAMP RAT » Mon Sep 06, 2021 10:36 am

I will be in the Cotswolds with by much better half tomorrow and am contemplating a serious withdrawal from the bank of brownie points by visiting Brize in the hops of finding my last three A400's all of which are there at the moment.

the trackers suggest

ZM408 last flew on 15th August.
ZM410 last flew on 18th June.
ZM412 last flew on 4th September.

would any locals be able to let me know if these three are visible outside and if so where they might be located.

many thanks in advance for the heads up

Hi 'Rat,
You might try the western dispersal ramp accessed off Burford road and then the road to the sewage works. A few weeks ago ZM410 was one of the W & R A400s stored there whilst awaiting replacement engines.

ZM410 was at the sewage works as of Saturday morning.

Thanks for the reply’s. Much appreciated. I will not have optics that will allow me to view the main ramp which in any case is likely to be affected by heat haze (hopefully)

ZM410, 413, 415 and 416 were all at the sewage works this morning with 401 outside the A400 hangar. Sadly there was no time to try to work out the others on the field.

ZM412 was in the hangar on 7 Sep and then moved outside to Bay 69 at around 12.00.
