A fabulous line up and something that won't be seen again (sadly). The last Greenham show had quite a few other gems as well. Thank you for sharing these.

Great thread Andy and nice to see all these F-4s again. As others have said this really was one of the best shows!

As Keith has said - very nice scans as well - really good job!

Cheers

Darren

Great show , if I remember rightly the SP F4 got fed up of not being colourful enough for the photographers , so the went to the IAT and bot a big round sticker for their port intake. Then got lots of pictures taken , me for one unfortunately my pics were lost during my house move.
I'm 74 and I have been retired since 2005.
I have been spotting since my first show at IAT Greenham Comman 1981

Lovely shots mancman, l loved that show because l particularly like the mighty Phantom. But....

Maybe it's just me but l was disappointed that there were only three nationalities represented. I had high hopes of Greek, Turkish, Spanish and even maybe Japanese or Korean representatives. I think the big difference was that at later IAT or RIAT events geopolitics had moved on and we did get four nationalities one year when a Spanish one was in the static so we had four countries represented.

Anyway, great images thanks for sharing.👍

1983- UK, French, Canadian, Danish, German, Italian, Dutch, New Zealand, Chilean, Jordanian, Belgium & US Air Arms = 12 Nationalities?

Or am I misunderstanding the statement? F-4s only?

Yes, l was just referring to Phantoms. IAT was always unbeatable for the mix of nationalities.

You did well to get a nice blue sky as a backdrop. When I photographed them on the Sat a.m. it was all grey which at least served to demonstrate the efficacy of the new Barley grey camo!
