That's odd because I've been monitoring this post and that isn't what Zuluone originally posted! He posted something along the lines of "Hopefully 10 to turn up on Monday"!!

He posted that one on Thursday and has edited it twice since then.

No colp - look at the post immediately above my last - a direct quote with no added comment.

We'll have to leave that to Zuluone to explain then I guess!

They say 10 airframes tomorrow with an arrival of 18.00L. Spotted with tanker over Dallas last night?

Yeah they've repositioned to MCAS Beaufort I believe for the drag across.

So would they travel up the east coast and then head towards Iceland at some point today?

Already been posted (in the GOLD71/81 thread) transit via Azores routing not North Atlantic I believe(subject to usual caveats)

Think they took that route last time, as do RAF. USAF seem to go northern route over Greenland-Iceland. Being single engine I’d want to stay as close to land as possible too :'(

Don't think it has, it is expected they are coming direct from Beaufort as they did last year.

Give them a chance, Paul. They did not create last year's NOTAM until 12.09z (though the one for the day before was created at 09.23z).

Routing was 60N30W - 60N20W - BALIX

These 10 F-35B's were reported arriving into MCAS Beaufort last night on the Scramble messageboard, whilst their KC-135 support (as Gold 71 and 81) are both believed to have gone into Robins AFB. Assuming CF-01 hasn't changed since last year, then that's only 2 different jets from last time (CF-03 and CF-05). The (supposedly 2) VT ANG jets are rumoured to be going to Spangdahlem instead now, possibly on Tuesday.
