Hi
Back after completing Kitty Hawks 1/35th scale SH-60F after a fight
When KH announced their Navy H-60 family I was a happy bunny

USN being my main interest , helos especially

Thought I would go for the HS-7 CAG bird at Hyeres back in June 2010 as its in the kit

Then the "fun" began on opening the box it is FULL so much so that a lot of the major parts were badly warped , you soon realise that over half the parts are not needed in one case 2 small pieces are used from the 2 complete weapons sprues
Then there is the instructions , less said about them the better
Once I started building it , I soon realised it was not an SH-60F the interior is for he SH-60B , so had to scratch build , with the help of a donor Revell Lynx the sonar gear and crew stations , luckily you get all the US Army seats with it so these can be modified, then I had a break for a week

Eventually got it all together and finished , its only a bit of plastic , I wasnt going to let it beat me , though it nearly did
Finished as I say with kit decals ...very nice

as seen at Hyeres on 13 June 2010 , as 164610 AC-610 of HS-7 using Xtracolor enamels and Alclad Semi matt varnish
Is it a good kit , maybe not for the over £100 price tag , does it look like an SH-60F, yes , in the end I think it does will I make the other variants....well they are in the stash
Cheers
Paul
