Small question, How can you tell an AH-64E from the earlier AH-64D?

The AH-64E Guardian V6 has a couple of obvious antennas that mark it out from the AH-64D Longbow. A large VHF blade aerial on the top fuselage between the engines, as well as the weird looking comms aerial on the upper side of the boom, just behind the engines.

There are numerous other smaller differences, but those 2 are the easiest to see.

At the moment the AAC website is calling them AH-64E
https://www.army.mod.uk/equipment/aircraft/
but that website is also saying that they have RTM-322 engines...

No, they will never be designated as Apache AH.2. They MAY get designated Apache AH2 at some point though.

ZM707 &709 arrived on 11 March onboard USAF C-17 02-1111. Currently still at Brize awaiting road move to Wattisham. This now makes at least 6 in country with 706 & 708 having arrived on 12 Feb.

ZM713 & 714 have arrived around midnight 20 Nov on USAF C-17 03-3120 and are currently in the hangar at Brize awaiting road movement to Wattisham.
