Just me, the dog and the new scanner

Post by Canarypilot » Fri Mar 12, 2021 10:10 am

Finally a day off to myself. A good number of frequencies for Lakenheath and Mildenhall are in the new UBC125 and the antennas have survived the recent high winds.

Great to hear all the Comms this morning. Lakenheath is closest and really busy. Fascinating sitting in my lounge to hear the Comms and then the aircraft. Roll on the good weather to be able to sit outside.

Always worth having Lakenheath Ramrod 266.050 in the scan when the Eagles are up

Many thanks.

I'm based in Brandon. The external antennas have made all the difference and I highly recommend.

Should have done this years ago 😀.

What antenna have you put up bud? :)
Everyone has a photographic memory; some just don't have film.

Good morning. I went to Broadsword Antennas and bought a dipole antenna. He was super helpful and set up the range for both military and civilian. Highly recommend him.

I have one on the roof and one on the summerhouse. Made a significant difference to the STD antenna that comes with the scanner.

Yes, Darren. Good quality at a very good price. Just need more time to listen now even though I've semi retired.

You're lucky enough to be living in the prime spot for it (very jealous), enjoy! :thumb:
