YANKY98
Re: YANKY98
Just saw it on FR24 as heading into Edinburgh then looked up & got a very quick glimpse of it on Finals. Is this a US Marine Corps Herc?

Great to see a USMC Herc back at EDI! Guessing it’s an overnight stop?

They have been in the past Callum, and given it's come over the pond, I would think likely.Callum1998 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 06, 2020 6:26 pmGreat the see a USMC Herc back at EDI! Guessing it’s an overnight stop?

Thanks for that confirmation Landshark2084.

Re: YANKY98
Is this in anyway connected to the USMC F-35 deployment at Lakenheath or Marham or wherever it is?

Re: YANKY98
Highly unlikely. These ‘NY’ coded Hercs have been regular visitors to Edinburgh for past 5/6 years. So I’d imagine it’s pit stop en route to a more dusty climate

Re: YANKY98
Any idea of a departure time if it leaves on Tuesday? I'm up in Edinburgh tomorrow, so might have the opportunity to look in at the airport.
