My first ever airshow, 10 years old. I think I might still have some Kodak Instamatic shots somewhere.

The 60s & 70s RAF BoB At Home Days were always superb. Two Canberras displaying, and that Varsity/Dominie break, did every station do something special and specific?

We had moved to Rutland about 12 months before that show which was my 3rd (after Blackbushe and Abingdon in the late 1960s).
I still have the information sheet and am looking at photos my late dad took as I type.
Also in attendance were: Beagle Basset, Vulcan,Hurricane,AR coded RF-4C in SEA scheme, Lightning from 5 sqn,Buccaneer, Spitfire, Gnat and JP3, Wessex and Whirlwind.
I think there were 4 Danish Drakens that day; one memory is that the BoBMF (or whatever it was called then) Lancaster didn't arrive despite being due.

Fantastic set. Particularly the Dominie/Varsity formation and the Britannia.

Superb set Michael  I had moved up from my Kodak Instamatic to a secondhand Voigtlander 35mm so opted to try it out at this show.
Was so well pleased with the results
We moved on later that night to camp at Mallory Park ready for I think for the 'Race of Year' on the Sunday with Agostini

Thanks for posting

Thanks for sharing these, another great selection of shots, BofB shows were great, as Biggin Hill was my local field, always went there. As they didn't have any based aircraft, they always seemed to get some interesting types in the static display.

I missed these lovely pics at the time,I was on 231 OCU at the time and iirc I waved in the Patrouille de France,I was quite amused to find that I could look down into the cockpits of the Magisters as they whistled in to park,it was a lovely day and a great show :)

Mine too. Some of the display aircraft made use of the valley that wouldn't be allowed now.
