Colin, Dan is a good bloke and posts the latest news on the 'RAF Lossiemouth Spotters Group' Facebook group regularly, have you tried to join that group?

What's the likelihood of Aircraft flying from Lossie in October?
Looked at the info given and it talks of late 2020 but wondered with all the covid restrictions if things had been pushed back and if the timings had slipped?

Just wondering how things are progressing with the Runway and if it's still hoped to have the Runway open this month or has that slipped?

Some news, thanks to Howard on MSF who shared the RAF LOSSIEMOUTH Facebook Page.

The question on everyone's mind: When will flying return to RAF Lossiemouth?

Here's your answer: from Monday 12th October! It's a complicated series of moves and we won't be revealing any specific dates or times until later this week...

✈️ Typhoon FGR4s currently at Kinloss Barracks will begin to land at RAF Lossiemouth from Monday 12th October. These moves will take place over a number of days, where pilots will launch from Kinloss and recover into RAF Lossiemouth.

🌊 Our brand new Poseidon MRA1 aircraft will make their debut at RAF Lossiemouth next week! The exact date and timings will be revealed very soon. ZP803, named after Squadron Leader Terence Bulloch, will be making the long journey across the North Atlantic to join ZP801, the Pride of Moray, and ZP802, the City of Elgin!

🚨 Quick Reaction Alert will move from Leuchars Station in Fife back to RAF Lossiemouth. We *will not* be commenting on the dates or times of these movements. QRA is critical to the defence of the United Kingdom, and while we will usually answer as many of your questions as possible, there are many details that must remain secret.

That's all for you so far! Any questions?
(Please don't ask us for specific dates or times... you won't get them!)
