Wouldn't be a RIAT thread without deteriorating!
least it isn't at UKAR levels...yet

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2020 Discussion Thread
Another downhill shove then! I thought DBH were going to announce Scooby Doo was coming this year for the Dog Show? If they can grab the MH-60R Seahawk from Yeovilton to accompany the RDAF Challenger & F-16....
That'll be 4 Great Danes!

Wouldn't be a proper dog show without an F35B

Looks like the Swiss F-18 has now confirmed
We've always received regular participation at the airshow from Switzerland and this year they will send two teams to take part in our flying display.
The first team is the F/A-18C Hornet solo display, showcasing the extreme high angle-of-attack capabilities unique to Swiss examples of this primarily naval fighter.

Great update, Swiss F-18 always flies a good display, and the Patrouille Suisse are a fantastic team

Patrouille Swisse, the national display team of Switzerland, will fly the F-5E Tiger II.

Huge credit for DBH giving us more information with the updates - More Harriers you say??

German Navy Headquarters have informed us of their intent to send a number of aircraft for static display at RIAT 2020, including their P-3C Orion which will be a welcome addition to the Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance theme at the show. However, we await formal confirmation of attendance which we expect to receive in March or April.
In a letter recently received from the Royal Canadian Air Force, they recognise the importance that RIAT 2020 will play in commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain and that "the participation of RCAF aircraft is currently under consideration".
We were very pleased to hear from 9 Squadron, Spanish Navy, this week. They enjoyed their experience at RIAT 2019 and hope to return with their Matador II jets to the Air Tattoo again this year. We are currently continuing communication with them and hope to bring you more good news in the coming weeks.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2020 Discussion Thread
They had self confirmed so avoided them to prevent from being shot down in flames. The RIAT thread must be handled with cautionJames Cutting wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2020 12:25 pmGood timing mate!![]()

Brilliant update today, and I really like that extra bit of transparency in talks with nations not yet confirmed.
Harriers back again in 2020 would be absolutely amazing. Germany always give fantastic support and I wonder what Canada could send.
Vera for the 80th anniversary of Battle of Britain and 75th anniversary of VE Day? One can but dream.

Someone just had to say it!
Although I have to admit, I am looking forward to this years show. The updates so far have been superb.
Here’s hoping that the Czech Hind will also make an appearance after it displays at Yeovilton the week prior. As mentioned above, it’ll also be interesting to see what continent arrives from Canada. Looking at their schedule the CF-18 demo team appears to have prior commitments on the RIAT weekend.
