Lydd 25-01-20 Hungarian FA7X

With thanks to those that picked this up in the heads up. I popped down to Lydd first thing this morning to catch the Hungarians, unfortunately there was only one there, not sure when 606 left.

Dreadful light but had to make the visit as it is so unusual to see anything like this in this neck of the woods.

The airfield is still much as it was back in the day. the terminal is like a time capsule. The Coastguard hangar being the only recent construction on the airfield.

I should have made the effort to go down on the Friday night :( .

They really were unexpected visitors to one of the South Easts less celebrated airfields.

Keep meaning to pop down there on my bike for a shufti, nice ride from my house. Seems an odd place for them to drop into.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

It is a lovely run down there through Tenterden and Appledore on the bike with the Sun out, finished off with a cup of tea in the terminal :D
