This was my first time in Russia, and visiting the MAKS show; Monino, Federation Army and Victory Park Museums. With great company and exceptional weather throughout the trip, it's fair to say it will be the highlight of my year from an aviation spectacle.
To western eyes there really are some gems and performance displays amongst some more tame acts - my favourite being the Russian Navy pair of Su-30s that defied physics and were simply breathtaking to watch overhead (south of the river).
Moscow itself was delightful and easy to get about. If you use apps like citymapper you can't go wrong. Public transportation is convenient and very reasonably priced. It was great to see Red Square, the Kremlin and St Basil's Cathedral in addition to other beautiful pieces of architecture and sculpture.
Thanks for organising Stefan (4Aviation).

If you've made it to the end hopefully it gives you a good overall view of the flying element of the airshow - taken once from the media stand (Thurs) and twice from south of the river on public days (Sat/Sun).
Cheers,
Chris
