Normandy the 8th of June

Post by Bruno » Thu Jun 13, 2019 7:24 pm

Last saturday, I drove trough Normandy in order to catch some stuff. I was lucky enough with the weather and saw some action.
First stop was out of Cherbourg airport

Some Hercules had invasion stripes

There was an Osprey with this special paint tail

Then, it was time to move south to Carentan where US Army transformed hippodrome as a DZ

After that, I travelled out of Caen airport in order to catch some Dak

A nice addition was this C-17

Ramstein Herc and C-17 arrival shots are top drawer - very nice indeed.

Great set. That Ramstein C-130 looks cool in invasion stripes.

Great shots. Lovely to see Dakota KP220 (G-ANAF) (formerly of Air Atlantique) in the skies of Normandy.
