That must have been some turn South immediately after the Castle, watched for it but never saw anything. Did it stay low in the turn? Disappointed as it's the first one I've missed in ages - #GUTTED!

Yeah headed South which was unusual. I was at Myreside and it almost banked overhead so just after the castle, it stayed low as well

Can anyone confirm the next Flypast is 23rd August or are there likely to be more between now & then?

NOTAM looks to have expired for flypasts. I believe there were only 4 planned.

Apparently according to some posters on here there was one more announced by the Tattoo and MoD Facebook for the 23rd of August. Wether that was a wrong one or not.

Also if the Tattoo and MoD have informed there is another one why no NOTAM? They must think they don't need one.

It could be that the 23rd was a late addition to the schedule and was only agreed after the NOTAM was posted.
I’m no expert and as far as I know there isn’t a legal requirement to issue a NOTAM (happy to be corrected on this ) but I’d be very surprised if there isn’t one for the 23rd - the aircraft will be operating at low level in a controlled zone alongside the main ILS route into Edinburgh so other airspace users will need to be aware. In my experience NOTAMS tend to be issued around a week or so before the event but sometimes it can be issued at the last minute. I’ll keep an eye on the NOTAMS and will post an update if any.
