Thank you RAF Marham for including the former RAE Bedford in Wednesday's tour - a fitting tribute to the work carried out there in support of the Tornado programme; great memories of ZA326 and a camo'd Tonka from BAe (can't remember the serial) bashing the circuit back in the day. Also, heading from there to Cranfield should take the flight either just to the north of Bedford town or over the town itself, home to the Aircraft Research Association's wind tunnels which were heavily used in connection with Tornado aerodynamic testing.
Wish I could make it to RAE Bedford on Wednesday, but I'm thousands of miles away, so I'll be up and about for 0530-0545 (eight hours behind here) and will be at my old 'local' in spirit. Good luck to all those involved at Marham, both in the air and on the ground; I hope it all goes to plan. Likewise to all those who will be travelling to wherever on whichever day to watch the flyovers at the various locations - I hope the weather plays ball for all concerned.
Goodbye Tonka; thanks for the memories.
