Sorry this isnt current aviation but I just had these fly over my house, I used to have this sort of thing over my house all the time when the chips were at marshall's Oh how I miss these. I had my first flight at ATC in one of these

Unusual one today. Just after midday heard the sound of a jet and looked out of the window behind me.

This F18 was climbing out to the west at around 8 - 10000 ft. Seems to have the gear still down and is venting fuel.

Apologies for the quality but only had time for a couple of quick shots.

I would like to say it was just a coincidence but I was waiting a good while for it on the way back from Leuchars. Picked a good spot down the fields at the girlfriends house (there were quite a few over head there on the way up) , scanner on - Linton, Leeming, Church Fenton, Elvington, picked it up calling in at Elvington. Got txt messages saying it had finished there and was on its way. Heard it coming, ran around like an idiot, trying to get it through the trees. Thinking this is going to be awesome, its coming right overhead trailing smoke, this is going on airliners.net
