I will probably get a bit of stick for this but first come first served is a little bit unfair in some ways to the elder generation who may not be glued to face book ( I realized that is a generalisation) of to people with a disability who perhaps can't reply or have limited internet access ( another generalisation)James Cutting wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 6:27 amExactly blue diamond. Other people saying ‘They should host another one, it would be good for charity” - No, you are just desparate to get on there!!
Unfortunately, it is one of those tough things in life. All about a bit of luck as to when you saw the post. First fome first serve - end of!!
Would be a much fairer way of doing thingsslogen51 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 6:55 amI will probably get a bit of stick for this but first come first served is a little bit unfair in some ways to the elder generation who may not be glued to face book ( I realized that is a generalisation) of to people with a disability who perhaps can't reply or have limited internet access ( another generalisation)James Cutting wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 6:27 amExactly blue diamond. I would prefer to see a lottery style whereby there is a window to apply and then Marham pick 500 or whatever lucky dips.
I can't accept first come first serve ( law of the jungle) is any better than a lottery? A lottery is far more inclusive and makes all those whom are interested feel they have the same chance as the next 'togger' - funny lot you photographers - stick to numbers much less stressfulJames Cutting wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 7:11 amSlogen - I do agree with you to an extent there as you are right, it does seem unfair. However, when the majority of your audience is on the most common form of social media then they will believe it is best to publish it that way - and ‘first come first serve’ is a tried and tested method.
I do love them in the air and the burners as well BUT they still look awesome up close and personal
Also - I wouldn’t recommend being at the fence that day as the notam suggest the AD is closed so I don’t have much hope for flying!!![]()
