Just signed up and I'm very excited to be here. I'm quite new to all this buy after seeing the 225 landing at Brize I'm hoping to get out and see some more planes :)

Hi all at FighterControl!

I'm Kishor from Birmingham. Been into military aircraft since I was 13yrs old, after watching a Discovery Channel programme that included the SR-71 Blackbird, the love affair started then! Missed out on seeing her fly though :'(
Last few years been able to visit some amazing places with the wife ( lucky chap I know!)
- Duxford, Cosford, Fairford, Marham, Lakenheath, Coningsby and Mach Loop Cad West twice so far. Recently went to my first airshow at RIAT 2018 - amazing!
Glad to have finally joined this site. It has always been useful as a valuable source to know if there is anything exciting at Fairford for example, worth the 2hr drive for us!
Every time I chat to fellow spotters at the above places, though I can't afford the expensive camera gear, everybody is friendly always. A testament to this fantastic hobby that all of us love. :thumb:

Hopefully may bump into some of you guys - I'll be wearing probably a t-shirt with a Blackbird on it!

New to the forum but not new to the industry, have been working in aviation for a while and attend many shows excluding RIAT (first time next year) and have a keen interest in military and commercial aviation photography.

About to invest in some new kit for next year as most of the smaller shows I have attended didn't need longer lenses, so this will be a who new experience for me :-)

Hello chaps, from Tyneside.
Just found this site recently and joined up, cheers. I’m returning to this as a hobby as I am rapidly approaching retirement ! Most of my time is spotting in the north/ north east and north west. Main locations Spadeadam, Otterburn and Leeming.
Look forward reading and seeing whats out and about.

Hi, I am an older guy who has some spare time and no hobbies to keep me legal-- so i decided to become an aviation version of a train spotter. i have acquired an uniden ubc125 xlt (pre-programed) with a r881 high gain aerial. i live in norfolk not to far from lakenheath and will be eating a few burgers at the viewing area. i had thought i was only going to be watching a few f15,s landing and leaving but after looking at the interest and pics etc on this forum, i realise that there are alot more planes about.. i will definitely consider getting a decent camera for this hobby. you all seem a fairly levelheaded bunch so i will enjoy this endeavour, cheers to all.

Lapsed spotter here, formerly to be seen around Leuchars and Lossie when F4's and Buccaneers were to be found there. Generally look on here to see what interesting stuff I've managed to miss around Scotland whilst stuck in the office!

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to say hello since I'm a newbie on this site. I'm from the USA living right outside of Chicago. I work in the travel industry and that allows me the ability to fly all over and enjoy my passion of photography. I really enjoy flying over to Europe for air shows, spotters days and just experiencing different bases.

Thanks again for allowing me into your site. I look forward to using it a lot from this point on.

Sincerely,

Trevor

Morning All
Many thanks for allowing me to join Fighter Control, having worked in the Aviation Industry for some
40 odd years, time to visit a few more Bases before they all disappear.

Regards

Steve
