That'd be nice, been a while since we've had a detachment of Italian F-2000s over here.

Henning Stein on the Coningsby spotters group has said German Typhoons should be arriving Friday. They'll hopefully be selling deployment patch on Friday at CG1

The owner of the WAVE has confirmed EF-2000 due in from Italy. Be nice to see fast jets operating here again. Just a shame the hedge is so high!!

As per all the recent big exercise, deployments etc. I've set up a temporary section for the exercise, so everything can be in one place

the hedge might be high at the minute but it may get trimmed by low approach fighters

Would have thought there would have been support by now - just guessing though?

Thought I read somewhere Spain were only contributing aircrew and ground crew, but no jets as per last year. Could be wrong.

Haha.

You can see over the fence for about 2 or 3ft to the south of the red/white threshold fence, before the bush starts. Other than that, it's very hard to see. Photo on link is taken from the wave car park, gives you a rough idea. Gone are the days of head on taxi shots. You can only just see XM607 from the viewing area......

Blimey! Never used to let it get in that state (Waddo hedge).

(Maybe keep this on track for Coningsby as I get confused in my old age).

I think Waddo will be a good place to be mid morning tomorrow - cameras at the ready! :grr:

... just after lunch will be OK too for some :grr:
