ZZ336 "Ascot 9303" just airborne out of Brize and climbing heading west. Off to the US to join Ascots 9301 and 9302 for tomorrow?

Shanwick ALTRV now posted, same as the last one. Should mean a 19.30 - 20.00 arrival tomorrow

I'll leave this thread running tomorrow, but please no tracking info. All tracking info here viewtopic.php?f=386&t=165414

wind is blowing towards north so will they land runway 19 into the wind ? the thunder and lightning guide doesnt say much about where to see planes landing on runway 19..where do we park if they are on 19 ?

many thanks

There are lay-bys at the 19 end

But the forecast says the wind is shifting from the north later on

Stress stress!

As others have said you have to be looking at a 20:30 arrival at least

Anyone know if the F-35's routed directly over Brize last time? I'll be in the area today and might pop down if there is a chance of seeing them.

I was at Fairford. We heard them rumble OTT, but didn't see them. I believe they did go OTT the BZN Tacan beacon.

Based on the ALTRV they will/should take the TACAN route LND-VLN-BZN-MAM and therefore be at FL230.

Thanks both I'll wander down later, although it's clouded over now so I might only see the tankers returning.

Probably an impossible question but when do people think they will arrive? They are around the Azores which for a normal airliner is something around 3 and a half hours flight time from the UK.
