Air Day 2018 Arrivals
Re: Air Day 2018 Arrivals
More arrivals due this evening but, the E-3 hasn't turned up.

Re: Air Day 2018 Arrivals
Just had a hawk T2 low level over the A303 around 10 east of Yeovilton, guessing he’s burning some fuel before landing at Yeovilton.
May the skies be clear and blue and the wind fair with a guiding star to steer by.
Re: Air Day 2018 Arrivals
Are we expecting a c27j from Lithuania if so it could be blue 07
Re: Air Day 2018 Arrivals

Re: Air Day 2018 Arrivals
Hi
Does anyone know if the AS532 Cougar went for a photoshoot with the Skyvan on Friday morning.
I eyeballed a singleton inbound from the south and trying to identify it.
Thanks

Re: Air Day 2018 Arrivals
Arrived this afternoon.

Re: Air Day 2018 Arrivals
Took a look over the fence(s) this evening. Additions are :
ZA126 Sea King ASAC7 (not XV664)
(18) NH90 French Navy difficult to read in fading light.
ZM306 Prefect RAF
N-258 NH90 Dutch Navy
XX157 Hawk T1 736 NAS in static
I've written down 15blue as the Lithuanian L39?
Southside hangar apron has 2 Greek F-16, 2 Belgian F-16, 1 Danish F-16. Plus 736NAS Hawks XX324 and XX329. No sign of the two RAF Typhoons though. All the rest is north-side so easily visible from inside the show.
Western end Helicopter (the old Junglie Assault) lines have Wildcat HMA2's ZZ533, ZZ514, ZZ380, Merlins coded /0, /K, /B and /AF, and Wildcat AH1's ZZ384 and ZZ408.
ETA : Edited to correct some typos.

Fantastic, many thanks Malcolm.

Quick correction, your Norwegian F-16 is in fact Danish.

Re: Air Day 2018 Arrivals
Interesting as there was no 21 White arrived at Yeovilton; however 23 Blue arrived at about 1340 hrs Local . Does this mean they have 're-coded / re-numbered' it but not changed its Hex Code??
Re: Air Day 2018 Arrivals
Just to clarify the 3 Hawks flying today were XX157 "CU" and XX329 "844/CU", which did the Commando Assault demo early on, and then XX324, coded "324", landed around 1245. There are a couple of Hawk typo's in the thread above.
Wildcats ZZ384 and 408 flew with Merlins ZJ126 / K and ZJ130 / O to complete the Commando demo.
A Whirlwind landed, presumably XJ729, and there was also a Chipmunk and Bulldog in the static which evaded me.
Austers TW536 and WZ706 arrived during the day, TW536 accompanied Bird Dog 0-16957. Chipmunk WP973 also arrived.
Cheers, DC
