I saw a bit on the news earlier about today's rehearsal and sure it said this was the last practice before the big event. Would also just like to thank everyone for info on here as I managed to get time out of work to see it, it's very much appreciated 👍

Just noticed the tour at Horse Guards parade is from 6 - 9 July which is inconvenient as otherwise it would have fitted in nicely with the flypast on the 10th when I am 'doing' Waterloo bridge.

Believe the airframes will still be at Horse Guards on the 10th but not formally 'open' to the public, they will be removed over the next few day. Just as you can see them in place today....

Thanks are they outside on the parade ground or in a marquee etc ?

( Sorry I know it's not related to the flypast but thought as they are in the same area I would ask)

Just to put the flypast in perspective The 1953 Coronation review involved over 600 aircraft flying in their various formations.

Edit; Flypast starts at 6 min 11 seconds with varsities.

To confirm, the aircraft are on display outside on Horse Guards Parade from 6-10 Jul. This is a public display 6-9 Jul and on the 10th for invited guests.

Can anyone advise please. www.militaryairshows.co.uk says "The flypast will start in the vicinity of The Wash, The North Sea and Southwold, Suffolk and Southend then route from the hold via Swaffham and Thetford and Colchester..." and the NATS map shows two areas (B and C) which would back this up. However the simplified RAF website map shows a single route from Ipswich to London. Which is correct or are there two parts merging at the southern end? Thanks in advance for any help.

Nighthawke.
I think the Nats map is the more reliable, The helicopter portion should join and take the lead from the Isle of Dogs area. The fixed wing element should form up in the Southwold area then come in via the Colchester area. If they follow something similar to the Queens Birthday Flypast.

There is an e-mail circulating at LHR which basically says that ops there will be suspended for approx 10-15 mins whilst the larger participants and formations pass by!. Seems like they will head towards 27R from London and then route out west in a corridor between Heathrow and Northolt.....nor sure if this is 100% accurate info?,but a lot of people planning thier lunch breaks etc,on the day,to suit.

Thanks BJ but that still doesn't explain the Swaffham/Thetford bit ie mid-south Norfolk due south via approx Bury St Edmunds (hopefully!)

I think, though I have no evidence, that this is to allow late running aircraft to catch up and slot in (I'm looking at you, Rivet Joint!)

Is the rotary element repositioning to Stapleford aerodrome as suggested a few weeks ago?
