If you read my post correctly I just stated the fact that there were no F-22s at Lakenheath at the time that the man in the coffee shop was saying 'they are already here'! I never said anything about them not coming.
As has already been posted, all being well, the sound of freedom will once again grace the fence at Lakenheath this afternoon...

The F-22s are in that central shelter area that is opposite the viewing area ( where the F-35s were earlier this year)
I read on here that Monday is a US holiday for Lakenheath so Tuesday hopefully for some flying - only guessing!

Interesting, never come across that before, thanks.raameagle wrote:Correct, and if 6 aircraft deploy, they don’t just have the 6 ‘ferry’ pilots to fly during the deployment. All of the other pilots go civair or by military charter/transport and are usually in position (jet lag rested etc) ready to start flying straight away.
