Hi everyone,
Please follow the above link for more about the flypast,He has also provided links to the CAA notams for the practice day and the London flypast give times and routes.

It look like they are use the same plan as the RAF 100 and the Queens 70th flypast so again I will of to the London velodrome Stratford ,you get a better view than Central London also it better for photography. And it easy to get to by public transport
Is there a particular area around the Velodrome that offers the best view? I ask as we have gone to Fairlop for the past couple of flypasts, but it would be nice to re visit the old Olympic Park, and the flypast would be an ideal time to do it. I have been to the main stadium since, I don’t think I have been up at the velodrome end of the park since the 2012 Olympics!
Hopkins Field adjacent to the VeloPark. You'd want to be at the southern end of the field to get a nice angle and the sun will be in the right place too.

Waterloo Bridge and the South Bank are the the best spots in Zone 1 for photography/videography. Remember it being exceptionally busy by 1200 during the Platinum Jubilee flypast heaving on both sides! I don't think this event will be as busy as that, though.
Many thanks for the additional info. I actually work on Victoria Embankment, but sadly my company didn’t put in a roof terrace! However, for the RAF centenary flypast, I booked an outside table on the balcony at the OXO Tower ( the bar or bistro is cheaper than the restaurant). I can certainly recommend for both the lunch and superb view of the flypast.

More than 60 aircraft according to Sky news…..

Later in the day, military personnel will conduct a six-minute flypast of more than 60 aircraft from the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force - flying over The Mall in central London.

Featured among the aerial procession will be aircraft that have delivered support to Ukraine, policed NATO airspace, supported disaster relief, deterred drug trafficking and countered terrorism in the Middle East and Africa.

Being as most of the RAF have been on easter holidays would wait until something is definite instead of speculating.

Think the Typhoon formation could be a C II R

Similar to the 27x Hawks which did an E II R for the Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
Regards,

Neil

Not unless we've travelled back to 1660. C III R more likely

That's a weird clock you've got there. After 1659 mine goes to 1700!

Three chinooks over southern part of Corby about 1 pm today. In trail, roughly west to east.

I've done a replay of FR24 and the 1st cell went over Corby at 13.00, followed by the 2nd cell at 13.10.

Mike

Thanks for posting the list. Very helpful. I do note that the number of sqwarks for some formations exceeds the number of aircraft stated. Is there a rational explanation for this or is there something we do not know at this stage?
