Careful Slogen. One could ask why are you at Lakenheath to see aircraft that you saw there in October. Don't stick the chin out too far.
I am obsessed!

Actually the last east bound cell back in October arrived in the dark if memory serves me which is why 88-1707 wasn't noted for a day or two.

It went really well from what I could see - everyone was sensible in the 24 field

Easterly winds forecast for Thursday?

Will probably be out to check my hearing as I did the eyesight already

All this is getting ridiculous... If its not bout who's got the biggest lense... Who knows more than the other on movements.. Who's got the better airband scanner.. Who's got biggest set of ladders and should they be used up against a fence'.

Spotting was a great hobbie in the 90s for me..

But now it's been turned into a fan fair.

Now we're unfortunately in this social distancing format... Now we're gonna pick apart anyone or everyone on it.

Embarrassing

I agree guys - it has become beyond a joke.

How do people like Boris, and Drakeford down here in Wales expect us to operate a proper and reliable littering service under these circumstances?

The distance between home and Lakenheath means at best I have 3 or 4 occasions a year to distribute my garbage around the Forest entrance and the lock down and uncertainty over who can go where is making it almost uncontrollable.

If this goes on much long I'm going to have to hire a 40 ton truck and do it all in one big hit!

Do you think the idea of couriering said garbage to people who sit on pink chairs for local distribution might be viable?

Wrong thread, C24 !
Morning Mike

I have to disagree, not strongly, more out of bewilderment. As I understood things, the title of the thread is spotting during lockdown
Posting snaps is banned so there is a link not a photo

:S

Current snaps have now been posted. Did Boris forget to mention this during a recent performance?

Glad to read that the A14 roadworks are complete as mentioned somewhere on FC.

Of no interest to anyone, our recent GS Woodpeckers have stopped visiting. Grey squirrels haven’t.

Is this thread now redundant?

Hopefully someone will be able to determine who all the people are at EGUL and get NHS Track and Trace to ring them and advise them to go into 14 day self isolation. Unfortunately there is bound to be someone amongst the crowds who is positive for CV-19. Whoops CV-19 was the aircraft carrier USS Hancock.

Wouldn't worry about it. He's a backseat moderator most of the time. ;)

Is that before of after we get our standard issue brown shirts?

Extracted from the linked article, yet another fine example of modern journalism... "The Spitfire is the iconic British single seater fighter plane from the Second World War and many were stationed in the county at Duxford Airfield and others to defend the bomber squadrons stationed here."
Not being a 'local' I'm guessing the gaff isn't....
a) They don't have the "Clap" in Cambridgeshire?
b) Duxford didn't have Bombers based 'here' with the Spitfires? ;)
So it has to be the Single-seat fighter -v- Twin-seat picture.

No I think the answer is:-

c) They have changed the picture from a Hurricane to a two seat Spitfire since Pen Pusher's post

On the subject of spotting, how many noticed;

EGUL; RAF Lakenheath & F-15 Eagle?

Correct but the Spitfire they are now showing isn't even a Duxford based one. That one operates out of Goodwood with the Boultbee Academy.
